Cork or foam footbed?

The footbed largely determines how the clog feels, and it's removable. There are two types to choose from. A foam footbed is soft and resilient, providing immediate cushioning under the foot, which is pleasant if comfort is your priority. A cork footbed is firmer, better supports the arch of the foot, and molds to the shape of your foot with wear. Since both footbeds are removable, you can clean and dry them separately, and even order replacements to switch them out.

Open or closed heel?

You also have a choice in style. A garden clog with an open heel can be slipped on and off in a second, ideal if you're in and out of the garden all day or leave your clogs by the back door. A garden clog with a closed heel holds the foot more securely in place and offers more protection and grip, which is pleasant on uneven terrain, on a ladder, or for heavier work in the yard.

Why polyurethane and not wood or rubber?

Garden clogs come in various materials: wood, rubber, and synthetic. Our clogs are made of polyurethane, a light and very durable synthetic material. This offers several advantages over alternatives. Polyurethane is much lighter than wood, allowing you to walk in them comfortably for longer. It is non-porous, so water and dirt don't penetrate it, and the clog stays dry inside. And it's durable: while cheaper clogs tear or sag after a season, a polyurethane garden clog lasts for years.

Maintenance: how to keep your garden clogs looking good for years

Maintenance is hardly any effort. Because polyurethane is non-porous, you simply rinse mud and garden dirt off with water, and the clog is ready for use again the next morning. The removable footbed can be taken out to dry separately after a wet workday. This keeps your garden clogs fresh and ensures they last a long time.
