Skipper's clogs

On board a boat or ship, your feet are in motion all day long, and almost always on a wet, slippery deck. Whether you are on a fishing trawler, working in inland shipping, or spending a day on the water, you need footwear that can withstand water, salt, and dirt and on which you remain steady when the deck is wet. That is what the skipper's clog is made for. For generations, it has been the trusted clog of fishermen and boatmen.

Our skipper's clogs are made of 100 percent polyurethane and are completely waterproof, with a closed heel that encloses the foot and keeps it in place, even when working and moving on deck. They are designed and made in our own factory, so we maintain control over quality, fit, and materials ourselves.

Made for work on board

Working on the water places unique demands on your footwear. The deck is wet, sometimes slippery from seawater or the catch, and you are constantly on your feet. A skipper's clog is built precisely for this: completely waterproof so your feet stay dry, with a non-slip sole that provides grip on a wet and slippery deck. The closed shape keeps water and cold out, so you stay comfortable even on a long voyage or a cold morning.

Waterproof and resistant to salt and dirt

Seawater, fish, mud, and oil are all part of working on board, and that is exactly where polyurethane has the advantage. The material absorbs nothing and lets no water through, so salt and dirt stay on the outside. After the voyage or the catch, you simply rinse the clog with water, let it dry for a moment, and it is as good as new. No soaking, and a clog that doesn't smell or rot like shoes that absorb water.

Lightweight and comfortable on long voyages

A day on the water is long, and you don't want heavy clogs on your feet. Our skipper's clogs are lightweight, with an anatomically shaped, removable footbed that supports the foot during long periods of standing. This way, you can last a whole voyage without tired feet, and you can also remove the footbed to dry it separately after a wet day.

Quick to put on and take off, into the galley and onto the deck

On board, you are constantly walking from outside to inside: from the wet deck into the galley or the wheelhouse and back again. A skipper's clog is easy to kick on and off, without laces and without bending over, so you leave the wet footwear at the door and come inside dry. Practical tools for the daily rhythm on board.

Skipper's clogs from our own factory

We choose the material, determine the fit, and oversee the finishing from start to finish, without middlemen and at a fair price.
